July 7th, 2013 - Dancing Girl

After B'Elanna's discharge from Seattle Children's Hospital, we had a long drive home.   I decided to make the drive over 2 days.   On her discharge day, we only drove 3 hours to Grammy's house for the night and got a good night sleep.   The next day, we got a later start and drove for about 6 hours... but only made it to Moses Lake... she needed to take quite a few breaks.    Then we finally made it HOME!!!  B'Elanna squealed in delight when we walked in the door and realized we were actually HOME, HOME, HOME!!  She went running to her room and came out with a few of her toys... when she turned around... I realized she also had one toy in the back of her pants.

Over the next few days, I tried and tried to keep B'Elanna still and to keep her legs/knees together.  I went so far as to wrap her from hips to mid-thigh with an ace wrap.  It was loose enough for her to walk/run... but she couldn't completely separate them and tear out her stitches.     It only worked a little bit... you see... you just can't keep a good girl down.   :)  :)  :)

So at 10 Days Post-OP from her Anoplasty surgery... she is doing GREAT!!!!   We have been watching Star Trek Enterprise and suddenly B'Elanna starts dancing and "singing" (screaming).

She is such a Joy to me, she always keeps me laughing!!
