Guangzhou Day 12 - Free Day & Group Picture

Today was a nice easy day.    We had a free day, so we decided to our Souvenier shopping on Shamain Island with the Franklin family.   We found a lot of really nice stuff.    Jenny's Place is definately the place to go for the leather squeaky shoes... it is also where I bought some Chinese outfits for B'Elanna... I just really liked the quality of the stuff in this store and the people were REALLY nice.   I also visited A Gift from China(the proceeds go to the orphanages), they had some nice stuff and are definately worth a look.   Both of these stores are almost right next to each other.   There is a young lady that walks around and tries to get you to go shop at Jenny's .... go with her... then you will see Gifts of China and Susan's Place... good landmarks!!! 

When  you take your taxi to Shamain Island, point and have them drop you in the "park" area... it is the boulevard with all the statues.   On the left side of the road, on the left side of the boulevard on the courner is "Andy's Discounts" they actually have Nice stuff... but since it is already discounted... they don't really barter much.   On the left side of the road, but on the right side corner of the boulevard is another store that had some nice stuff ... I don't remember what the name is though.    We also went to Susan's place... the guy there makes some really neat signs.... but otherwise the stuff reminded me of KMart quality compared to the other stuff.

We had a good time shopping and walking around.... then we went back to the China hotel to get ready for our group picture.

The Airline pilot in the front was taking picture of us and jumped in ... but...
it is the only group on on my camera.
